If you move and change baseplates, you will need to re-center the base when reinstalling. This will help both quickly and easily. It works great with a 1/4" collet, but the other end is smaller than 1/2" (why? That's a silly decision since 1/2" is the other standard size) so it works with the bigger size doesn't work .Also plastic so over time it can wear and loosen on the steel shaft - then you can buy another one.
