Review on Berlin Modisch Entrance Reversible Protector Hardware by Sam Thorpe

Today I received this replacement, I installed it. Just to clarify, I've replaced many doorknobs in the past, at least not the first time. When I received it I pulled out all the parts to inspect. Everything seemed fine so I pulled out my old doorknob. As soon as I installed the new handle, I noticed that the inside handle with the latch didn't work at all. The outside handle worked well. There's little wrong with this setup now, but I removed it and double-checked my work. Collected back - the same problem. So I disassembled it again and took a closer look at the handles and the operation of the inside handle. It turned out that the square hole plate was too big for the latch to work. So it was all about a square pin that had to rotate for the latch to work. So I'm sending it back as defective. The overall quality of the product also felt cheap in my hands, not heavy and solid like a solid door knob should feel. So I'm not even sure how long this thing would have lasted if assembled properly. Definitely not worth the time and money.
