Big! Networking Products

Reviewers say this device keeps turning off, probably because it's plugged into a USB 2.0 port on their PC, which can only supply up to 500mAh or 2.5W max. about 50-100mAh for work (or 0.25-0.5W). When connecting multiple devices, if the total power consumption of the devices exceeds the power that the USB port of the PC can deliver, the USB hub will naturally turn off. It's like trying to turn on Tesla fast charging from your home's 120V outlet! Doesn't work or fuse blown! This is not due to the USB hub, but to the user's misunderstanding of the basics of performance and consumption. USB 2.0 devices connected to a USB 2.0 port can transmit a maximum of 500 mAh (or 2.5 W). A USB 2.0 hub leaves a maximum of 400-450mAh (or 2-2.25W). Connecting a USB 2.0 port to a USB 3.0 port leaves a maximum of 900mAh (4.5W power), leaving about 800mAh (4W) for devices, almost double that. In theory, if it were a USB 3.0 hub, devices up to 1500mAh (or 7.5W) could be connected to it. as a hub, it is a USB 2.0 hub with a nominal transfer rate of 40 MB/s. The actual data transfer rate in Windows 10 is 38 MB/s. However, this only works in the following cases: 1- You connect it to a USB 3.0 or higher port. .2- The device (such as a flash drive or hard drive) you are connecting to has a transfer rate of 40 MB/s or more. I successfully run this hub on a single USB 3.0 port, connect 1x printer, 2x Bluetooth modules (for keyboard and mouse) and 1 USB 3.0 flash drive without the device turning off on me. Even though the flash drive can deliver 120MB/s straight to a USB 3.0 port, I was still very impressed: 38MB/s is pretty fast! The printer works and the mouse and keyboard work without any problems. 38MB/s means a 128GB flash drive is fully written in less than 1 hour!
