PLASTIC PULLEY AND CHINESE WAREHOUSE!

Used on Vehicle: 2004 F150 Lariat 4x4, 5.4 Triton with A/C: Arrived on time. Thank you! BUT. Attention buyers! This Ford tensioner is fine. Came in a Ford box, it's stamped by Ford and made in Canada (typical Ford manufacturer). but the pulley is PLASTIC and the NSK bearing is MADE IN CHINA! Maybe it's something they changed recently or have been doing for a while, but I think this is the first time I've ever seen a Chinese part on an ORIGINAL FORD item? What gives Ford? That doesn't exactly inspire confidence in me! For my purposes, I was looking for the tensioner itself, NOT the pulley. I have an original STAHL pulley with a new American bearing. I'm sure a plastic pulley will work, but I'm not a fan of plastic pulleys and even less interested if they have Chinese junk stores. So for my rating - because of the Chinese bearings I have to deduct a few stars. . Sorry but I was expecting there to be normal production by Ford in the US and Canada. NOT Chinese! If you have an old steel pulley and just want to replace the idler bearing, you can use #6203-2RS (or equivalent). Check your bearing to be sure. Most likely there will be another number for cross reference. Please also note: Bearing changes are only possible with steel discs! All the plastic pulleys I've seen are molded around the bearing so they can't be replaced. My idler pulleys (x2) also use bearing #6203-2RS. My 6 groove pulley (x1) had a 6303-2RS bearing. . Do NOT skimp on pulley bearings and don't go the "Chinese" way! Buy USA quality. The cost difference is insignificant. My second choice are Japanese bearings (like Koyo). I haven't had any of these yet. Hope this helps someone!
