Worked well for two years and then merged with HP Specter

Used successfully with a Razer stealth laptop to to control a 34-inch ultra-wide monitor and power the laptop. The port got warm while charging, but not that much. I rarely used the USB port, just power and HDMI. When I switched to the HP Specter, I noticed that running the same monitor and turning the laptop on caused the port to heat up even more - potentially using more power. The plastic casing actually melted when I plugged in a USB stick and started transferring 100GB of data - The USB port failed first. So be careful if you use all three ports under load you will be working under maximum load.
