Ports work but laptop won't charge

The product works as a VGA, Ethernet and USB3 adapter. It does not charge a Lenovo 920 laptop. It seems that no power comes through.As a connection everything is fine on battery power but useless as a docking station where you need to charge your laptop.For some reason I have to reconnect the ethernet cables several times to allow the OS to see the network same HDMI adapter problem on multiple devices from other brands.

You can also just buy Apple.

Completely disappointed. It is almost impossible to use a USB-A port and an HDMI port at the same time because there is too much space between USB-C and HDMI and not enough space between HDMI and USB-A. The power adapter connector doesn't work on my Nexus 6P; although I'm not sure if it's the phone. It also doesn't support high enough amperage power delivery for a 2016 MacBook Pro. If I can't charge and use both ports at the same time, it's useless to me. I haven't used it long enough to runโ€ฆ

Suitable for Macbook Pro 2016. But sometimes there are problems with the signal.

Works with a 2016 Macbook Pro (DVI to DVI to USBc) as an adapter. However, when the computer goes to sleep, the monitors do not recognize the connection when waking up. The ONLY thing that helps get the signal back to the monitor is to disconnect the adapter from the cable on the DVI side. After reconnecting, it finds a signal, then reconnects and the monitors work again. Simply unplugging it from the laptop on the USB-C side (keeping the DVI side still connected) doesn't work. It's prettyโ€ฆ

Worked well for two years and then merged with HP Specter

Used successfully with a Razer stealth laptop to to control a 34-inch ultra-wide monitor and power the laptop. The port got warm while charging, but not that much. I rarely used the USB port, just power and HDMI. When I switched to the HP Specter, I noticed that running the same monitor and turning the laptop on caused the port to heat up even more - potentially using more power. The plastic casing actually melted when I plugged in a USB stick and started transferring 100GB of data - The USBโ€ฆ

I rarely used the USB port, just power and HDMI. Works as a docking station for early MacBooks and LG 34UC88 ultrawide monitors

I'm using it to connect an early MacBook to a LG 34UC88 ultrawide monitor. It does the job and I recommend it Pro: Works. Allows me to use a UW 4K display, charge and have USB peripherals. Paired with a basic MacBook vertical stand, it makes a good docking station. Cons: The USB-C connector doesn't always fit directly into a MacBook port. It took me 15 seconds the first time. Now it takes 3. Everything.
