Love Lion Brand Thick and Quick just disappointed with this yarn

I have used Lion Brand Thick and Quick on many blanket projects over the years, this is my favorite yarn. This yarn, on the other hand, is disappointing because it's so crimped that I have balls of lint all over my house. I've put a lot of work into this blanket and am about to finish it, but I'm not sure how well this blanket will hold up to use.
