A little background; I have a corded 1/4 blade sander that I used once when it started sounding like a cordless sander when the battery was low. The next time I turned it on after about 30 seconds it didn't start. It's not that old, but it's no longer guaranteed, so I took it apart and found that one of the carbon brushes was almost worn out, while the other still looked like new. I repositioned the brushes, reassembled the grinder, turned it on and it worked like new again. The original parts are no longer available so I measured them and then searched to find a replacement. I found these sizes I needed so I bought them so I have a spare if or rather when this happens again. I took the grinder apart to make sure they were the right size as they looked smaller than the size of the original brushes I remembered. Then I removed a brush to put one of these in its place and it fit perfectly. I now have a variety of replacement parts to help extend the life of my grinder.
