Good reasons, although I have reservations about connecting to the railing.
Quality is good and seems more durable than the originals I had on the boat. My only criticism would be the two set screws and not the threaded holes to insert into the insertion tube. The set screws don't form as strong a bond/connection and over time they are more prone to slipping and breaking.
