The quality and finish of this mount is actually very solid. It is durable and very well coated. However, it has some disadvantages. The hole for attaching the antenna is way too big. And because of the outer edge of the busbar holder JK/U, it doesn't just snap into place. I ended up using a stainless steel washer on the bottom with Firestik fire flex cable to complete the bottom. Be sure to remove the powder coating from the bottom of the mounting hole. I also drilled a hole in the bracket and ran a wire with a stainless steel screw and grounded the bracket to the jeep's body just inside the gate under the rear right plastic panel. To align the mount properly, I used a couple of nylon washers between this and the tire mount. I used the same nylon washers (2 on each spare grommet) to ensure the spare washer was far enough away from my antenna.
