Will not fit as shown without replacing the spare tire bracket

I almost never give 1 star or bad reviews but this product deserves it. It's a solid piece of metal but it just doesn't fit as shown in the photo. You have to do one of three things to use this. 1. Grind the ribs on the spare tire bracket so it sits straight. 2. Get longer metric screws and lots of washers to move it away from the bracket. 3. Buy another bracket. I will not be returning it, I will go with option 3 and buy another mount from a reputable antenna manufacturer.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Very expensive

Solid but holes need repositioning

This is a solid piece of metal. Pretty easy to install, but there are two problems. 1) The antenna bolt hole is larger than 3/8 of the pole, so when installing, be careful not to ground the center terminal. 2) it's tilted 5-10 degrees to the right, which looks weird as hell. decent deal, so I was able to gouge out the mounting holes a bit to adjust them a bit so the antenna is pointing straight up. And I have the knowledge how to insulate a larger than usual antenna mounting hole. If I didn't…

Not suitable for JK spare wheel attachment.

I rarely give 1 star reviews. This mount just doesn't fit. Although the holes match, it is not flush with the tire mount. Some used washers as spacers, but the antenna didn't get grounded, giving me a strength of 3 or higher and possibly burning out my radio. Hitting and bending to make it fit better still didn't fit right. The antenna is too close to the spare wheel and constantly rubs against it. Tried to move the bracket to the underside of the spare tire holder but the spare tire got…

Great quality, needs some tweaking to make it work.

The quality and finish of this mount is actually very solid. It is durable and very well coated. However, it has some disadvantages. The hole for attaching the antenna is way too big. And because of the outer edge of the busbar holder JK/U, it doesn't just snap into place. I ended up using a stainless steel washer on the bottom with Firestik fire flex cable to complete the bottom. Be sure to remove the powder coating from the bottom of the mounting hole. I also drilled a hole in the bracket and

Disappointed - Exterior Accessories

This is one of the few times I don't give a good review. Once this bracket is in place, the spare tire actually pushes into the antenna and flexes it severely. I actually had to buy spacers to move the hoop away from the antenna. Other people have actually reshaped the bracket or cut out the tire holder to move the bracket further towards the tailgate. It's a bad design and I don't feel like the engineers installed it and then put the tire back on. As we all know, the antenna cannot touch other
