My five year old had a habit of keeping his money (a dollar every holiday from his great grandmother and whatever coins he finds) tucked here and there and in random envelopes all over our apartment. Now he's excited to keep it in his money box. I used a piece of elastic cord to tie his copy of the key to the handle, and I have the other key stored away. It's small, but it's just wide enough for American dollar bills. I find it more useful without the tray, but it's exactly what I was looking for and my son loves it. And, more importantly, he USES it.
