Received this cover today and it came with one of the keys installed in it. I can't get the key out of the lock. It can be rotated to lock and unlock the lock, but cannot be removed in any position. Going into this purchase I knew it wasn't going to be great but I wanted something to cover my tank filler neck that would also show if tampered with and decided it was better than a rubber cap. The desire to just keep honest people honest and stop any harm. I asked two others to remove the key and they were unable to do so either. I can only assume that there is a burr on the inserted key. Examination of the second key revealed very sharp cuts and burrs. If I cannot remove the key and clean the keys, this item will be returned.
