The instructions say not to use spray oil (Pam). Well I used Pam and avocado spray and it didn't harm the pan at all. For those who give these pans such low ratings, give Pam a try. This is the most amazing pan! I first used it on my mom in Arizona and I know it's the best product available when she buys anything and she always buys things that are built to last. When I got home I ordered a set for my daughter and her husband and a 12 inch skillet. They kept the set until they moved, but we used this pan EVERY FIGHT DAY (he eats a lot of scrambled eggs for protein since he's a pro athlete). Ordered a pair when they moved. this doesn't need oiling, keep watching and good luck but if you want a really great pan then this is for you!
