This little pup is definitely amazing, I've only had him a few weeks but am very impressed and happy with the purchase. A small problem I had was deciding whether this unit would work with a 30 or 40 amp switch. It's a bit confusing, the instructions aren't very clear. The unit also came with a 30 amp plug (L-6 30) but I called support and they said it would max out (45 amp setting) with a 30 amp switch but if If you really need up to 50-55 amps max, they recommend a 40 amp switch. Personally, I don't cut anything larger than 1/2 inch. So I use a 30 amp breaker. By the way, I've cut 3/8" mild steel plate like butter with no problems! So I guess it's just something you need to consider when it comes to properly powering this plasma torch for your application. But I sincerely believe this one device will last long as long as you treat it like a time light. In other words, just take care of it and change supplies as needed. Last but not least, keep the air in front of the plasma cutter clean and dry!
