I have never used a Fram filter as I only use Motorcraft on my Ford. But the oil filter on our other cars is at an odd angle, making it difficult to maneuver the oil wrench. The textured grip on the fram is an absolute life and nerve saver when changing the oil on this car. The price is right for the money and the feature works just as well as any other filter and maybe better when I really look at things. My only complaint is not with the product but with Revain's shipping practices. Personally, I wouldn't ship an oil filter in a bubble mail box, opting instead for a cardboard box. It would be a shame to hear of shipping damage if a part failed after installation. This feedback has been reported by Revane multiple times without correction.
