UPDATE AFTER MY FIRST REVIEW: When the company saw my review they immediately contacted me and offered to either replace the lining or refund my money. I like the heating pad so I asked them to send me another one. I'll try to reinforce the cord with something to chew on so this doesn't happen again. The company handled it perfectly and they said they would notify the factory so improvements could be made so I appreciate that! It's a good heating pad, but I'm so disappointed to see my little dog (who doesn't eat at all!) just chewed through the cord. Thank goodness she and her 7 puppies are fine but now I'm hesitant to use the heating pad again. It could have killed her. So don't think the cord is chew proof. I feel like I wasted $40. The cord was also hidden in the puppy box so I wasn't worried about what would happen but then I noticed the pillow stopped working and then I noticed the cord.
