Clap! Comparing Deck of Cards and Dice

What a big fan of Bang! Card game, I recently bought and started playing the dice game so thought I'd shed some light on the differences. Both games are fantastic and a lot of fun, but one of them might suit your gaming needs better: Card Game: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001RU7UNW/ref=as_li_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=1789&creative=390957&creativeASIN =B001RU7UNW&linkCode= as2&tag=todmedblo-20&linkId=PTMQ4AT3CH2SJ5TF - harder to learn. I've had many friends who were confused/borderline frustrated when they learned my first Bang game - longer games = more investment, more replay value. Get ready to plan up to an hour for the game. More options and slower moves = more strategy. If you like games that make you think, a deck of cards is better for that - hidden hands/cards = more intrigue, harder to guess people's roles because you can't tell what their options are. If you like the hidden personality aspect, you will probably prefer the deck of cards. Dice is MUCH easier to learn. There aren't hundreds of different cards to explain, there are only six possible dice rolls. Shorter games = ideal for parties, not casual gamers. You don't have to ask people to play a full hour, craps games usually last around 15 minutes. For that reason, don't expect to play dozens of times with the same friends, it's just not that repeatable. Fewer options and faster movements = easier to keep people's attention. Again great for parties. - Public rolls of dice = less intrigue as people's strategies are pretty obvious. Also, thanks to the dice rolls, there are more chances, so there is more excitement at the moment (and more general excitement since everyone is watching the roll). In summary, if you're looking for a game to dive into with the same group of thoughtful friends, you're better off with a deck of cards. Dice is better for parties where people don't want to learn new complicated rules and for families with younger kids who need less time to focus. I hope you found this helpful!
