Review on πŸšͺ TTCR-II Door Handle Cover Trim for BMW X5/X6 (Black, Driver Side) - Compatible with X5 2007-2013 and X6 2008-2014 by John Ortiz

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Very easy to install, inexpensive solution to a common problem X5 + X6

Almost every X5 either has a problem with sticky door handles, or the door handles have been replaced (or got sticky handles, or paper towels, etc.) . This button is very easy to install, you will need a few small torx bits (one is T20, the other is very small, maybe T5). You basically pry off the outside of this door handle/knob with a thin flathead screwdriver (gently). You simply pry the outside handle off the inside handle (the sticky one you're replacing) and you'll see 3 (yes, 3) torx screws securing it to the door. There are 2 large (T20?), one on each end, they basically hold, and then a small (T5?) torx screw on the bottom/lower end. Remove everything, install a new handle using the existing screws, snap the outside handle back in place, and enjoy a cool refreshment of your choice, paid for with the dollars you save on those wasteful, less-smart folks who run the store. BMW dealership and you'll probably pay $200 for this easy job! :)
