If you have a 93-98 Jeep Grand Cherokee ZJ, those little rubber tailgate stops probably won't work. They absorb a lot of shock when you close the overhead gate and eventually start to break and lose effectiveness. Once sufficiently cracked, they become too short to hit the body and are essentially useless. I'm not sure if it's just me or if the rubber in them is really soft, but I usually replace them about once a year.
