Review on 💧 Hydronix SPC 45 2005 Polyester Pleated Filter: Superior Water Filtration Solution by Russell Robertson

I have been involved with well water filters for many years and have used many different brands. I use 10" and 20" Big Blue filters. These Hydronix filters are absolutely the best type of filter you will find on Revain and any water filter site. They are perfect for my cases. I've used four different brands and these are by far the best. In my setup, the 20 inch filter follows the centrifugal sand filter and the filtered water goes into a 2500 gallon storage tank. I have used 25 micron pleated filters from other manufacturers in the past. This Hydronix filter allows me to use a 5 micron filter and the water flow to the tank is higher than with these 25 micron filters. Best of all, no more fine sludge going into my storage tank. I use a 10 inch 5 micron pleated filter to filter the water that is pumped from the storage tank. On other brands, that 10 inch filter quickly clogged and then clogged the subsequent 1 micron carbon block filter and then I had low flow and fine sludge in the water. When using these Hydronix filters, the water from the tank becomes clean. and the 10" filter is no longer needed. But I leave it for backup. My carbon block no longer clogs and my water is the cleanest I've ever drunk. When a laser beam shines through the water, no particles are visible. These Filters are fantastic. The filters clean well with a hose nozzle to wash the silt out of the pleated environment. I actually use two 20" filters - I swap them out if one of them needs cleaning. Then I clean that one that was in the case and change it next time it needs cleaning. I have a lot less downtime. I haven't had to clean a 10" filter yet. I have transparent housings so I can see when the filters are dirty. It's been over a month now and the 10 inch filter is still clean. Other brands I had to clean monthly. My 1 micron carbon filter lasts much longer with these filters. With these filters I have better water, higher flow rates, less mud damage from water heaters, better water conditioner performance, less irrigation drop clogging and savings. By the way, I saw in these reviews that a lot of people have a lot of problems with the filter. The solution to most of these problems is to install a good quality centrifugal sand filter before any filters. Don't bother with cheap plastic colanders - they're junk. Pay a higher price for flush steel centrifugal sand filters. And then rinse regularly. This will save you money in the long run.
