Don't listen to negative reviews. They don't know what they're talking about or what this blade is for. This blade is NOT suitable for scraping thick, hardened ice. To do this you need a sturdy ice ax scraper like the one from this link: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00R6XAM0C/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s02?ie=UTF8&psc=1 target. When a very thin but strong layer of ice develops on a widescreen sign that a heavier plastic squeegee cannot touch, this brass squeegee is the PERFECT solution. It *really* cuts through ice like butter. I have found that for the harshest of winters I need (1) this brass scraper for thin solid ice, (2) the ice ax scraper listed above, and (3) a longer plastic scraper with a sturdy handle and brush end for sweeping snow. Together, these three help me get through the winter, no matter what Mother Nature throws at me. People who try to remove thick lumps of ice with this copper scraper and then complain that it doesn't work are crazy. Of course not. It was not manufactured for this purpose. Use it as directed to scrape off that annoyingly hard but THIN ice and you'll be so glad you did. HAVE FUN!
