Review on 🔌 TOTU 8 in 2 USB C Hub for MacBook Pro 2020/2019-2016 | Dual 4K HDMI, 100W PD, 3 USB 3.0 by Black Holstead

My new MacBook Pro is a wonderful laptop that I enjoy every day. But unlike some of Apple's other hardware upgrades, my MacBook only has 4 USB C ports. Of course, I didn't have any peripherals with USB C ports. My attempts to solve this problem finally ended when I bought this 8-in-1 hub from TOTU. Now, with this one product, I can access every device I have. The TOTU hub looks very simple. It has 2 USB-C ports that fit perfectly into the 2 USB-C ports on one side of my MacBook. The hub is small (see picture in my hand) and light, but feels very solid when plugged into my laptop. There are two "rubber feet" on the bottom of the hub that keep it flush with the keyboard when you're sitting on your desk and make the connection a little more secure (3rd image). The ports on the hub connect to the laptop more securely. than when I plug my iPhone into the ports on my MacBook. A small green light will illuminate, confirming a secure connection. The instructions state that for the fastest data transfer, you need to plug the power cord into the TOTU hub. When you plug the power cable into the hub's USB-C port, you'll hear a nice "click" sound. I needed to back up, so I connected an external hard drive to one of the three USB ports on the hub. The laptop recognized the external hard drive immediately. The backup started and completed with no problems. I decided to plug in another external drive at the same time to see if that would affect disk usage. Both worked as I had hoped. Although I don't often watch movies from my laptop through my 4K TV, I decided to check that the 2 HDMI ports work as advertised. The picture looked great, there were no problems with the video stream. The hub also has 2 memory card slots, which also worked perfectly. This is very solid, well built electronics that work exactly as described. I never have to worry about having the right adapter with me when I travel to a new place - I don't have to lug around a bag of adapters. There's even a nice drawstring bag to take the hub with you. I cannot recommend this product more. This solved a tricky problem for me.
