The tensioner works well. I broke the cane on my 2006 Odyssey because the hydraulics were jammed. So when I started compressing it, the top plug came off completely and the bottom plug came off. I received this replacement in 2 days and everything went pretty well and I was able to put the belt on quickly once I had it. Since then I haven't had any problems with it. The only thing I didn't like was the screw that comes with the kit to screw it to the block. It's a flat bolt so you need to cut it right or it won't go in. So after a few failed attempts I just pulled the bolt out of the old one and used it. It went straight in and has been working great ever since!
