For a long time my tools for repairing and inspecting collectible jewelry and coins have been a jeweler's eye and a magnifying glass. There's an art to balancing light, angle, and distance to see what you're trying to see. And as hard as it is to admit publicly, I once craned my neck trying to identify a coin. So the transition to the digital age was a welcome addition. I was a bit concerned as this setup looks very complicated, but it couldn't be further from the truth. It's incredibly simple and easy to use. The screen size is perfect for seeing things, and the remote control and backlight feel nice. The build quality is great and it's actually very wearable. It folds up small enough that you can easily take it with you when you travel. Focusing is easy thanks to the large focus mechanism, and the real jewel in the crown is that it takes pictures too. I'm very happy with the setup and the fact that I can take photos is great and great for showing to others and checking coins. If you need a digital microscope to replace your old magnification mounts, then this rig is for you.
