Surprised at the low price for such a good product.

later So. I haven't used this resin for a long time, but lately I've been using it a lot. ADVANTAGES: - Price. Unsurpassed. Water-washable: I've read many comments here and on the forums that the community doesn't trust water-washable resins, but you should trust this one. Rinsing off excess resin is super easy, completely odorless, no real skin damage (although I still wear gloves), no "fumes" that make my eyes water. The fact that it is water washable makes post-processing very easy. I use a container where I collect all the water and resin for washing, put it in the sun, dry the rest and use that water again. It is actually more environmentally friendly if you "get rid of the leftovers". - Texture: If you wipe some cotton wool with denatured alcohol before post-curing, you can completely change the appearance of the surface. You can leave the plastic texture (kinda shiny) or give it a matte ceramic texture. Virtually odorless when printed, odorless when washed. The only time I noticed an odor was during the post-curing process and it's still very faint. - Works great with short exposure times. I've tried 2.5 seconds per shift and currently I'm trying 1.5. I think it will work well with less as well. GENERAL THINGS I like but can't tell if they're pluses or minuses: - Color: off-white but kind of ivory - not similar but flexible, a little. So you can use it to print parts that you need to apply force to without damaging them. Easy to paint with acrylic paint. As with most resins, the paint will come off if you rub or "scratch" it too hard, but it will adhere to the surface well enough to give a nice, even coat of paint on your model. We also spray coated a print with acrylic and it looks amazing. The paint did not peel off, the resin was not damaged. We have not noticed any cracking, peeling or clumping of acrylic paint. CONS: - Not a lot of details. However, I have to say that I might find better settings on the printer to improve this point. I use Creality LD-002H. The settings are in the pictures of the review. As I said, this has worked for me so far, but I intend to improve the "detailed part". - Pay attention to the post-curing time. If exposed to a UV lamp for too long or too close, the resin will turn pink, pale pink, but pink nonetheless. I don't leave my casts under direct UV light for more than 30 minutes when they're large and on my face for about 90 minutes when they're small. I have no idea why there is such a big time difference based on size, but it seems to be working for me. Note that I have to turn my prints under lights by hand, I don't have a turntable or a very complex post-curing station. The shrinkage is noticeable. I mean, it doesn't really bother me, but when I print something with a flat surface directly onto the printer bed, it doesn't stay flat. To achieve this "flatness" you need to add a base and supports so your model doesn't have "underlays". Rich-ophto's website appears to be under construction, so it's difficult to ask questions directly. if not impossible (at the time of writing this review). I had to find out a lot about the resin myself, which resulted in me losing some of it in testing. Brand new, only a few people use them, so there is still little information about them on the internet. If you want to know how this resin works, you have to find out for yourself. If I come across a new important detail, I will update the review. Some of the photos show a dinosaur model that I printed for the cake to make it look like a fossil. To do this, I had to make sure the model was fully cured and washed. it worked well. I didn't put it in the oven, I just put the model as a decoration after the cake was baked. I liked how the ivory color makes the "bone" more realistic (maybe not like a fossil, but like a bone). The chocolate did not color the resin. And also. Well, now you have an idea what to do with this wonderful resin for your next birthday :)
