Review on 🚪 Dorman 38433 Upper Door Hinge Pin - Ideal for Cadillac, Chevrolet, and GMC Models by Matt Crawford

The shaft has a knurled collar that should line up with the hole in the upper clutch. That the Howe shoulder is about 0.03 inch in diameter is too big, the design is wrong. The parts appear to be well made so I don't see this as a quality issue, I believe it's a design issue. I have a lathe. , so I reduced the diameter to 0.005" larger than the appropriate hole and pressed it in with no problem. Unless you have a lathe and engineering/locksmith skills to remake this part, I would recommend not doing this part I've emailed Dorman Products about this, but like most major manufacturers, it doesn't matter.
