I'm one of those picky, research-oriented consumers. So if you want a quick overview, look elsewhere. When shopping I had several criteria for the perfect kettle and here are the results of this kettle after using it regularly for thirty days: 1. Safety - this was the most important feature for me. I wanted something with enough room above the fill line to prevent the violent eruption of water I experienced when pouring from my last kettle. This little baby is perfect as the triangular shape ensures there is enough space above the fill line without turning it into a big and bulky kettle. I also like the heat resistant spout lid that attaches to the kettle unlike some others I've had. It's very frustrating to keep dropping this nozzle between the stove and fridge because it will burn your hand. The lid is heat resistant, which is also a plus. In addition, the handle is stable because it is riveted. However, despite the heat-resistant material on the handle, I once got very hot when I boiled water, pouring it almost to the mark. I suspect this is because it takes a while to bring 2 liters of water to a boil - however this is a bit disappointing as I bought this item to use up the volume promised. That's why my rating is 4 stars instead of 5.2. capacity/comfort. Again, this kettle's efficient shape is attractive, along with the relatively high placement of the spout, as most of its volume is below the fill line, unlike most similar kettles. This way you can boil a decent amount of water without having to add water and start over. For those of you who drink a lot of tea (or even boiling water for a bath if hot water isn't available), keep this feature in mind. In addition, the lid's two-tone design makes it look smaller than it actually is. The actual hole size is very convenient for both cleaning and filling line measurement.3. Aesthetics. Of course I also wanted a nice addition to my stove! The fashionable shape combined with the classic red color is just perfect for my taste. I was a bit skeptical about which red to choose, but it's a really striking shade that really won me over. I hope this helps you make the right purchase decision. My search was extensive as I am an experienced tea drinker/teapot owner so all the details I mentioned helped me a lot in my decision making process. Happy Teapot Hunting!
