I've changed dozens of starters in my life, usually because the old one got stuck and stopped working. I always expected that the only difference between the old starter and the new one was that the new one worked. In this case, the new starter appears to spin 50% faster (probably an exaggeration, but it seems so). My 2002 Cummins diesel engine starts immediately and starts quickly. Love it!
