I gradually started to add new elements to my setup; I used ports 1 and 3-7 and skipped port 2. Why? Hey lol it's funny how things are going isn't it? :) Here are the devices and their corresponding port numbers on the USB hub (photo attached). I wanted to list them so you can see that I use a pretty decent amount of seemingly power-hungry devices to connect a single USB 3.0 port to a 7-port USB hub. Full Disclosure: All devices listed below are USB 2.0 except maybe the flash drive, it might be 3.0, unlabeled but bought last year: [1] Samsung Android Watch [2] **still empty* *[3] WiFi button [4] GPS button[5] BT button[6] Flash drive[7] Logitech 9000 webcam All devices show up in the Devices and Printers panel of Windows 8.1 Pro AND WORK! The only thing I can't confirm is the amount of power it delivers to anything plugged into it. It never bothered me and it doesn't bother me now. I plugged in a Samsung Android watch for about 30 minutes, started at 58% and is now at 95%, so charging smaller devices is a good idea! I would also like to add that this USB hub comes with an external power adapter which I haven't used yet even after all of the above was connected and working. I'll only end up using it to make sure all devices are getting the right amount of "juice" but in my initial testing.
