Three Star Hubs

This is a good USB 3.0 hub. I'm having trouble with ports 4-7 though --- they don't always work. After almost 2 years of use I have constant problems with ports 4-7 not working and I often have to disconnect and unplug everything from the computer. and then carefully reconnect the devices one at a time to get the ports working again. What happens is that I plug in a new device like a USB stick and nothing happens. The device turns on, but Windows does not recognize it as connected. Other…

Pros
  • No extra power adapter required

  • Not all will fit

I am VERY SATISFIED with my purchase and the functionality of the device!

I gradually started to add new elements to my setup; I used ports 1 and 3-7 and skipped port 2. Why? Hey lol it's funny how things are going isn't it? :) Here are the devices and their corresponding port numbers on the USB hub (photo attached). I wanted to list them so you can see that I use a pretty decent amount of seemingly power-hungry devices to connect a single USB 3.0 port to a 7-port USB hub. Full Disclosure: All devices listed below are USB 2.0 except maybe the flash drive, it might be

Pros
  • Horizontal port design
Cons
  • Little things

The best USB hub I've ever had.

This hub gets the job done. I use one with each of my desktops because accessing the USB ports on my desktop means accessing the back of my computer. This not only gives me one connection like a basic USB extender, but also four ports, and even if all four are used with flash drives and hard drives attached, the device will load each one and give you a chance to check open devices and there is no slowdown when writing or downloading them. I like the blue indicator lights. Great device. All four

Pros
  • Plug & Play
Cons
  • No power

All my USB hubs fail but not this product. This worked, although it was plugged into a Type A port using a "USB Type A to Type C" adapter and all connected devices were fine. However, this did not charge my 15 volt device. I didn't read the information so it's mostly my fault. But when I used the adapter to connect this product to the Type A port, it worked very well. I will never buy a USB hub again, this product is MUCH better for adding extra ports. Suggestion to the manufacturer, my laptop…

Pros
  • USB 2.0/1.1 backward compatible

Do not buy. save your money

Kingwin Aluminum 6 Port USB 3.0 Hub with 1 IQ Smart Tablet Charging Port (KWZ-700) is terrible. In the beginning the translation was slow. but. Now that the "30 day" return window has expired (it was 4 days ago, May 30th), I am having issues with the product. Some ports are not working. Something can connect, and suddenly it stops and "disconnects". And it looks like something is "loose" inside the device. I've used this maybe 6 times in the last 34 days. That's it, 6 times! I shouldn't have…
