This is a good size to slip into a purse or yarn bag and the basic 7-8-9-10 needle set works well for most patterns. The set is a very smaller version of the Boye Needle Master set with much more detail (and needle sizes), but this set is suitable for both novice and experienced knitters alike. It's great for making scarves or hats, but not for larger projects like sweaters or throws. So don't complain if it doesn't have enough stitches as it wasn't made for large projects, it's a handy size for travel or weekend projects. I like it!
