works fine, but note that the shaft you're walking on will need to be filed on the outside edge. The shank often protrudes with a mushroom and prevents the switch from sliding easily. If you force it down, the NEW derailleur ring that goes around the shaft WILL BREAK, and if it's loose at all it won't work properly. This was not mentioned in the instructions.
