I bought these just before we hit 18 inches of snow. When I took it off I was surprised at how clean the windshield was - no frost - nothing! I used it again when there was no snow but wanted to see how it would only work in cold temperatures when the windshield normally freezes over - again no frost. Didn't actually plan on using mirror caps but did on first use and it was very nice that the mirrors were clean too. I will be buying another one for my wife's SUV. I use mine - very large, for the 2015 Tundra, and it fits perfectly.
