Missing parts in windshield covers

Quality seems good but the instructions say the pillars need to be connected with 2 small connectors which are NOT included. I don't see any details that would allow me to contact the seller to send me these pieces. There are several other reviewers who had the same issue with their orders. I like the cover but I'm disappointed in the absence of the company.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Almost everything is ok

Cheap construction and the windshield sunroof does not stay in place.

My standard Frostguard size a few years ago was great. Sturdy, beautiful and well made. The windshield cover was thick and stayed down in strong winds. The elastic wears out completely, so I ordered it. The new one is 1/3 worse. Slim, cheaply made and barely fits my Subaru like the original. It is no longer the usual high quality.

Pros
  • Excellent Overall
Cons
  • Fading

The shape does NOT cover the wipers!

I have 5 cars, standard size only fits 1 of 5. This XL is not long enough or curved down to cover the wipers! It does not cover wipers like those purchased from QVC, HSN, or Costco. The security flaps are good and strong, but there is no elastic so flaps must be used. Overall, I am very disappointed that the shape does not allow the wipers to be closed. It will be returned.

Highly Recommended - Windshield Snow Covers

I bought these just before we hit 18 inches of snow. When I took it off I was surprised at how clean the windshield was - no frost - nothing! I used it again when there was no snow but wanted to see how it would only work in cold temperatures when the windshield normally freezes over - again no frost. Didn't actually plan on using mirror caps but did on first use and it was very nice that the mirrors were clean too. I will be buying another one for my wife's SUV. I use mine - very large, for…

They prevent ice from forming on the windshield

This version is slightly different from the ones I bought a few years ago and of course there is little snow in August so the rating is debatable. I bought this for my sister who lives in Canada who received this product as a gift a few years ago - she loved it - it protected her windshield from ice and snow so she didn't have to scrape the ice off at 6am before going to work went. (no garage; off street parking) After a few years it was worn out and they asked for a new one. If it's half as…

Pros
  • Excellent construction
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

Good quality material, nice design and easy to install. Each side has a vent on the bottom edge. Couldn't use both PVC stiffening tubes on the edges of the vertical duct They didn't lie then right on the windshield.Only one PVC pipe was used in each vertical channel that pressed against the top of the channel for stability. The size of the XL antifreeze will be 8" larger so will NOT fit my car so this is the one only option. Would be nice if they had a 2" wide vertical extension that could be…

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Quick start guide

Good product - exterior accessories

Just bought and had a chance to use it. I bought a large one because I drive a 2500 GMC Sierra. The windshield closed perfectly and I didn't have to scratch it at all. However, the mirror covers were too small and didn't work. I'm giving 3 stars because of the mirror caps and because I didn't feel comfortable carrying them over the truck. I've since attached a string to it to make it easier. Steve from downtown New York. Update December 3, 2018: Just had the first snow storm in CNY. 10 inches…

OK, not great, or fits my ORIG STND

I actually have 3 FrostGaurds. My first was 3 years ago, original from the manufacturer's site. There was a Reg/Big mudra with straps. DAS had a few surprises: 1. That it fits in a mailbox. 2. 2-piece end bar/post, whatever it's called. 3. It is about 25-30% larger than the standard large but twice as light. SO: Is this a simple fake? The 2-part lateral plastic bar broke after 2 days outside in the freezing cold during the first storm in use. Because of this, and also because it is so LIGHT…
