I have installed 6 sets of these bolts on 6 different Cherokees. The last came from the south, and I hoped this time the bolts wouldn't get stuck in the socket. Nevertheless, they were captured. Cutting the bolts to remove the strut is an option and depending on the rust the only option. Just note that the bottom bolts that come with the kit are too big to fit through the leaf spring eyelet. The top bolts that attach it to the Jeep body are a suitable replacement. You'll have to reuse the bottom bolts or find something other than what comes in this kit when you cut the bolts to remove the struts. Much luck. The work is not as easy as it seems due to rust. Lubricate the new bolts with grease when you put them in, as they should from the factory, and you won't have any problems in the future.
