Review on Nikon AF-S Nikkor 50mm ๐Ÿ“ท f/1.8G Lens: Exceptional Image Quality and Versatility by Maejima Riko แ Œ

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great value for the money, definitely recommended!

It didnโ€™t work out for me with fifty dollars, this 3rd one in a row before that there were 1.8D versions twice. On the crop (Nikon D7100) they give me an unclaimed FR (there are also 35mm and 85mm). I use it for walking light, when I donโ€™t feel like carrying a heavy 35ku (Sigma Art) - small and light. The picture is sharp in the center from the open, with f / 2.8 sharp in the field, with very good contrast, minimal distortion. It focuses faster than my other fixes, does not require adjustment at all (this is the only lens I have that does not require AF adjustment). I like how he draws light sources outside the depth of field. I recommend buying it (with only one caveat that the FR will suit) - for beginners it will be an excellent addition to the kit, for FF, apparently, a good staff member. Examples of photos in my albums, I will be happy to answer any questions

Pros
  • - sharp - fast autofocus - compact and lightweight
Cons
  • The flaws are negligible, especially considering the price.

Got pros: Dust and moisture protection, quiet and fast AF, works with film cameras, inexpensive, good sharpness Has cons: Noticeable color fringing at the edges of the frame and geometric distortion when shooting on film
