Bad plastic/rubber parts that melt and fall off

2 areas of plastic/rubber materials (black, non-metallic, boiler parts) are really bad. After a month and a half of use I removed the black lid while cleaning the kettle and saw that the heat of our use had caused the lid to melt very badly to the point where both screws had already come loose because there weren't any gave more holes for the plastic tubing to keep them in place because of melting. I usually fill the kettle through the spout so I hadn't noticed this damage until now. The advertised "ergonomic comfort handle" constantly slips off when boiling water and just doesn't seem to be able to hold on to the handle. So far, the metal parts of the kettle are fine. I think they should use different materials for both the lid parts and the handles from now on, even if it ends up costing more.
