Purchased Nov 2020 / Review updated Aug 2021: I stuck with this lock and have not gone back because 1) I became very quickly addicted to the ease of fingerprint unlocking and 2 ) Eufy customer service. They contacted me almost immediately after I submitted my negative review. Note to everyone reading this: email is the best way to get customer support. We worked several days to get the lock to my satisfaction. They emailed me an update because we couldn't successfully run it through the app (an update that was sent out to everyone shortly after), which resolved all my issues. They offered to send me additional products in their line for my concerns but I declined. Current use/experience: This door lock is used heavily. It is by a door that is on a lightly covered porch. I say "a little" because the ceiling is high and that's why the castle gets wet when we have a good afternoon storm. I've never had a problem with my fingerprint getting into day, night, rain or shine. Also, there is never a problem with using a PIN code. I have never scheduled an overnight lock again as I love the 24/7 auto lock feature. I no longer walk down the street wondering if I locked the door at any time of the day. It doesn't matter, because it blocks itself! I have it on a 1 minute chart and it has never let me down automatically. I put new batteries in the lock after we released the November 2020 update and haven't had to change them since. I can see through the app that they are slowly draining (indicating that the readings are accurate and not falsely indicating a full battery) and wait for any alert tones or app notifications to change them. I have a different entrance to the house so I don't have to worry about being blocked. I also carry a manual key just in case. This lock sometimes becomes stuck when manually turned to lock or unlock the door. This rarely happens and I'm not irritated enough to contact support. I didn't realize it was difficult when locking or unlocking with fingerprint or PIN. I probably have six users stored in the lock along with their PIN codes, and a dozen fingerprints are easy to store as well - sometimes your right thumb or finger is free, sometimes your left. An added bonus that doesn't really apply to my situation, but no one can get your PIN over their shoulder unless you enter it. The app no longer feels clunky or difficult to use. You can manage users in the app, and if you hire a cleaner or a pet sitter, for example, you can add their name and PIN while sitting on the couch beforehand (must be connected to the same wifi). They even step on you. your property. Not everyone needs to keep fingerprints! And if you fire them, you can also delete their information in the same way. You can also see when they unlock and lock the door through the app, which essentially serves as an entry/exit clock function. Many months ago they released an update that allows you to connect to the Wi-Fi bridge. I haven't used it yet, so I can't comment on that feature. In general I love love love this castle. If mine ever breaks I will replace it with the same or a newer version of the exact same lock. I've used keypad locks for years and am a little shocked at how quickly we became too lazy to push buttons to get in. First Review: This lock is easy to install and use. The app is clunky and not very user friendly. I was just checking blocking events and the time was off for 24 hours. This is a big problem when we use auto scheduled locks at night as my husband is on call at night and his biggest fear is forgetting to lock the door in the early hours of the morning when he is called. So this feature won't work if the app thinks it's day and auto-block isn't needed, when it's actually night and auto-block is badly needed. As a workaround I set up a 24/7 automatic lock, but it's a disappointment that the feature is sold but doesn't work. Because of the 24/7 automatic lock, this thing eats batteries like chips. I was lucky enough to get fresh 4 packs for a week. It's the second week of November and I'm not showing that a firmware update is required. It is impossible to get a person. I tried the chat, and interestingly, on 2 different days and at different times when I tried it, there were exactly 2 people in line in front of me, and no matter how long I waited, that number never changed. I haven't decided yet if I'm going to keep this lock. Fingerprinting is great, but the cost of the battery makes it a bigger investment than planned, features that don't work as advertised are a big disappointment, and the lack of customer support makes a big difference.
