Ideal for old exterior doors

My 19th century house has 4 old historic wooden doors, all of different shapes of curvature. After all, they are 130-140 years old. While all hardware stores sell weatherproofing products for the top and side of doors, anything attached to the bottom of the door is junk in my opinion. Say hello to the threshold with a rubber strip. It complements well other weatherproof doors and blocks drafts at the door. Next, for one of my doors that was slightly warped (apparently the 20th century was tough on it), I was able to rotate the sill just a few degrees and position the sill parallel to the bottom edge of the door. The only downside I've found so far is that the included screws on the oldest of these sleepers have gotten a little rusty - I've bought 3 so far, the oldest being in 2013. If you live in a humid or cold climate, tighten those Consider using alternative screws, e.g. B. made of galvanized or stainless steel. Or use masking tape and spray a thin coat of gray paint over the screws.
