Review on PacTool International SA904 Gable Scribe by John Boyce

I really like this tool and I use it in every job. However, it doesn't hold up well when tossed back and forth. The very first time I tried to use it as a fairing shear guide, it pulled out a few bolts and I spent some time finding the bolts/washers/gaskets and putting them back together. Some were never recovered and left a sour taste in the mouth. I would recommend getting some threadlock and going through it before using it in the field. Pactool has to do this at the factory. Another complaint I have is that you can only tighten the thumbscrew on one side, making it a bit difficult to adjust the gable angle in certain situations.
