*Update #3 11/24/2017*ok I've had these lighters for a few weeks now and I'm in love. They work exactly as advertised, they charge quickly and last a long time so I highly recommend them. That being said, I upgraded to a crossbow version from the same vendor/maker and it's even better! The second lighter seems to hold a charge well so far, so it was likely a dead battery in the other, which happens with almost everything from time to time. The lighter itself works great. It lights things up almost instantly, I've even used it to start a fire in my fireplace and it was a lot quicker than a traditional lighter. These things are actually pretty cool, and the best part is that they work. I'm glad I no longer have to deal with lighter fluid, flint, butane, etc., and unlike other windproof lighters, I really do. Just make sure you keep the 2 ends clean, which is very easy, just wipe with a paper towel or soft brush. You'll only get fouled if you're constantly in contact with what you're lighting, BUT this generates enough heat that direct contact isn't necessary.
