Wall or ceiling mountable hose reel with built in lead hose

I'm not sure what is going on with some of the reviews for this thing but this is not a piece of medical equipment or an electrical device. This is a standard pneumatic hose reel for an air compressor. I guess you can run water through it but the vast majority of users will use it for a compressor putting out up to 300 psi (normally under 200 psi). It has a 1/4 inch hose which is fine for most residential applications. It's heavy but you mount the bracket on the wall first and then attached the reel with 2 screws. I connected the lead directly to port on my compressor, leaving my quick connects free for other hoses if needed. Most people will probably put a male fitting on the lead and a female fitting on the end of the hose and if you use quality fittings and Teflon or PTFE tape, it shouldn't leak. No leaks for me so I'm happy with this reel. This hose is 65 feet long which is fine for my smallish garage and the retraction mechanism is working well. I haven't had any issues with snagging or the hose binding up even after retracting the entire hose fairly quickly. The case is made of a durable red plastic that is very visible and will prevent people hitting their head on it if you mount it low. My one semi complaint about this reel is the lead hose isn't very long but you could add an extension if needed, or just mount it closer to your compressor if possible. If you do have a portable compressor, it's best to use a quick connect fitting and not hard plumb it like I did. No complaints about this reel, it's been working well for me and seems to be good quality overall.
