Review on Delihom Carbon Steel Pan by Teresa Diers

Ummmm just don't good for me

I wanted something that wasn't plastic or metal, that I could leave at work for eating lunch. I love organic so I wanted to give it a try. The set is bulky, fibrous, and does not last. The fork is almost reminiscent of a large decorative salad serving fork. Not a real utensil that you could stab food and spear and actually eat anything with that you didn't awkwardly scoop. It's difficult to use and bulky. The spoon is flat, and is a joke. you cannot eat soup with it. It just it like a flat piece of molded wood and shallow. It barely would fit in your mouth, it's so wide and weird. Then, all the utensils' finish came off after washes and became scratchy and awful the 2nd to 3rd time after I washed it. The straw, the thing I was most excited about. I hate drinking out of metal, and wanted to avoid plastic. This straw. is like drinking out of a reed. It's fibrous and swells. It's like genuinely drinking out of porous wood, which I guess is what you're doing. It absorbs whatever it is in and stains. and swells and absorbs and holds it. I used it for water and one time iced tea once. and it smelled like tea for the next times until I was like, I cannot do this. The chopsticks and the carrier were fluff, cheap and didn't matter. Cheap and did not work and were not really useable. The button was weird and frustrating to use. I wanted to like it and use it. Did not work. not for eating. One positive - I do love the straw cleaner!

Pros
  • Lightweight for easy handling and maneuvering
Cons
  • Can create a mess due to splatters and drips during cooking
