My master bedroom is not square. In fact, there is almost a 2 inch difference on one side of a 20 foot wall! To be clearer, in order for the wall to be at the perfect 90 degree angle to adjacent walls, one side of the wall must be moved forward almost 2 inches. I discovered this while installing hardwood floors and realized that even though the floor was perfectly square, the room was different! The bottom fits perfectly under the baseboard on one side but leaves a 2 inch gap from the baseboard on the other side! I used wood spacers to widen the baseboards, then smoothed them out with some putty and painted! Now the baseboards cover the floor on all four sides, and the room "looks" square!
