I tried 2 of these and both had problems with the fill plate. The first was not sealed under the plastic ring. I tried tightening the screws but that didn't help. replacement ordered. Second, the lid didn't stay closed - I tested this by plugging in 3 sockets and blowing into the 4th. The lid opens and the air comes out. I came back and did the same test with the first one I ordered and the same thing. Basically, the lid's tolerances aren't great when it's in the closed position, and it doesn't apply enough clamping force to stay tight. I fixed this by creating a spacer that fits under the folding handle when closed. I'm giving 3 stars because I just wanted it to work properly without having to fix inferior parts. I also don't want fuel spilling out of the tank (because that defeats the purpose!)
