I can't say enough good things about this pepper mill. First, Ina Garten uses this. That should be enough, but if it isn't, here are its great features: - Ability to grind any spice (I have one for black pepper and will be ordering another one soon to share with other whole spices). - Clean, minimalist design. it looks great on the counter - The bottom tray is clean so you can see how much you've chopped. Tray won't wobble or fall out (I use mine several times a day). Coming from the world of specialty coffee and cooking: a good spice grinder is essential and the quality of the grounds (evenly ground pieces) is crucial for good aroma extraction.
