Fits 1990 Ford E-350 Econoline 1 Ton. C Class Motorhome. Rear Axle Oil Seal Dana Spicer 70 Dulley. Ford's suit specifications are completely different from Haynes' manual. The Ford weighs 45 to 65 feet and then backs out when you hear the hub nut click five times or a quarter turn. Do not overtighten, make sure there is no play in the hub. Over tightening will only shorten bearing set life and decrease fuel efficiency. Just grip the socket tight and check for play or play. There shouldn't be much resistance when the hub is rotated. Tightening is only to seat the bearings, not the oil seal. The seal is made in Taiwan. Haynes' warning would have you tightening it to 125 foot-pounds. This is incorrect according to the 1990 Ford Truck Shop Service Manual. I think Haynes recommends an endless rear axle rather than a Dana 70 like in Class C RVs. The Timken seal works great and is much better than the previous National Oil Seal. The rubber grommet seams on the Timken are more durable.
