Review on πŸ”§ Derale 13224 Black Frame Rail Transmission Cooler by Bradley Wacks

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Value for money cooler

I don't know why some people think this is a weak cooler. Once installed, it becomes as rigid as possible. Added it to my 97 Express Van during an engine change. My van didn't come with a factory radiator although it did have a hydraulic booster which puts extra heat into the system and it's certainly a big improvement over the steel tube circuit that most vans and trucks came with. I installed it behind the front bumper to protect it from road debris in an area where there would still be some ram air at highway speeds. Here in Texas I didn't want another radiator clogging my A/C condenser. Given that GM thinks a loop of pipes installed in roughly the same place will work on most vans, this will certainly get the job done. Will update this if I have problems in the future. I'm not sure why the other reviewer is claiming it's a 16 inch cooler unless they sent the wrong one. This cooler barely fits in the space between the frame rails of a large GM Express van.
