We have a 6 month old lab/hound mix. She absolutely loves stuffed animals, squeakers or not. They are her favorite. After throwing away quite a few of them, we decided to splurge and get her the Tuffy Mega thinking that it will at least last her a few weeks before I need to replace. She has had it approximately 12 hours (half of that was overnight) and has already broken open a leg and pulled some stuffing out. I'm glad that at least it is durable enough that the toy is still useable after cleaning out the stuffing but at this rate, I do not believe it will last through the week. Funny, I never considered my dog an extreme chewer. She does not chew like this on anything else (antlers, bones, kongs, balls, etc) - in fact she barely plays with any of them. But she cannot resist her stuffed animal toys and does not stop playing with them until they are destroyed. We want to continue to provide her with toys that she wants to play with so she has an outlet for energy, especially since she spends her days alone while we are at work. But for what we paid and how long it is showing to last, I do not believe we will make a purchase like this again.
